Growing up in Michigan, our summer dinners were often filled with Corn on the Cob. I used to giggle at the fact that whenever corn was on the menu, the dinner conversation inevitably turned to if the corn was good or bad that day. Michigan has some delicious sweet corn, and when done right, it’s the only thing the table could rave about!

  1. Corn: Use fresh, husked corn. Frozen ears of corn will work in a pinch of necessary!
  2. Butter: Salted or unsalted. If you use salted butter, you can reduce the added salt when cooking.
  3. Salt: I prefer table salt but you can also use kosher salt if desired.

How to Make this Recipe

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 390°F (200°C) for about 3-5 minutes.
  2. Place each ear of corn on a piece of aluminum foil large enough to wrap it completely.
  3. Place 1 tablespoon of butter on each ear of corn.
  4. Sprinkle each ear of corn with salt, dividing it evenly among them.
  5. Wrap each ear of corn tightly in the aluminum foil.
  6. Place the wrapped corn in the air fryer basket, arranging them in a single layer.
  7. Cook in the air fryer at 390°F (200°C) for 10 minutes.
  8. After 10 minutes, carefully unwrap the corn and roll them in the melted butter in the aluminum foil. Then return the ears of corn to the air fryer basket.
  9. Cook uncovered for an additional 3 minutes to allow the corn to develop a slight char and enhance the flavor.
  10. Once cooked, remove the sweetcorn from the air fryer and serve hot.

Expert Tips

  • You can cook the corn for as long as you’d like in order to reach your desired level of char. If 3 minutes is not enough for your preference, keep on cooking!
  • Wash and dry the corn before seasoning.
  • Make sure to preheat the air fryer to ensure even cooking.
